Chair History & Achievements

Since its establishment in 2010, the Energi Simulation Research Chair at UFPE has grown into a leading center for research in reservoir simulation and geomechanics in Brazil.

Through strategic partnerships with industry and government agencies, the Chair has led pioneering projects in subsurface modeling, carbon storage, and energy transition.

2020

  • Scientific collaboration established with KAUST on COâ‚‚ injection in fractured carbonates.
